Emergency roofing in Las Vegas and Clark County

A live person answers at any hour and gets an urgent roof onto an independent roofer’s schedule.

Best Vegas Roofer is a referral service, not a roofing contractor. We connect you with independent local roofing contractors who perform the work under their own licence and insurance. We do not perform roofing work and we do not warrant or guarantee any work performed. There is no charge to be matched.

A roofing emergency is any failure where waiting makes the damage worse, and on a Las Vegas roof that usually means water is already inside. Once water is past the roof covering it stops being a roofing problem and starts being a drywall, insulation, electrical and mould problem, and it does that quickly.

Our phone line is answered 24 hours a day. You describe what is happening, we work out how urgent it actually is, and we connect you with an independent roofing contractor covering your part of the valley who takes emergency work.

Call straight away for these

Some failures cause real structural and interior damage within hours. These are the ones not to sit on overnight:

  • Water actively dripping through a ceiling or running down an interior wall
  • A ceiling that is sagging, bulging or discoloured and spreading
  • Roof covering visibly torn away, leaving decking or underlayment exposed to the sky
  • A tree limb, air conditioning unit or debris that has struck the roof
  • Tiles or shingles on the ground after a wind event, with a visible gap above
  • Water pooling on a flat roof with a leak already showing indoors
  • Any roof damage where you can see daylight from inside the attic

What to do before anyone arrives, and what not to do

Move what you can out from under the leak and put a container down. If a ceiling is bulging with trapped water, stay out from under it and keep people and pets clear of that room, because a saturated ceiling can come down all at once.

If water is anywhere near light fittings, ceiling fans or an electrical panel, treat it as an electrical hazard and switch that circuit off at the breaker if you can do so safely and dryly.

Do not get on the roof. Not to look, not to put a tarp down, not to move a branch. Roofs are the leading fall hazard in home maintenance, a Las Vegas roof surface in summer can cause contact burns, and wet or heat-softened roofing is far more slippery and fragile than it looks. Emergency tarping is work for someone with fall protection and the training to use it.

Emergency work costs more, and you should hear that up front

After-hours and emergency roofing generally costs more than the same work scheduled for a weekday, because someone is being pulled out at night, often in poor conditions. The contractor you are matched with quotes their own pricing directly to you.

Best Vegas Roofer does not set, collect or guarantee that price. If a job can safely wait until morning, an honest roofer will tell you so, and we would rather you heard that than paid a night rate you did not need. An emergency visit is also frequently a temporary dry-in rather than the final repair, and it is fair to ask which one you are being quoted for.

Who actually does the work

An independent roofing contractor, working under their own Nevada licence and insurance, not Best Vegas Roofer. They inspect your roof, quote you directly, and warrant their own work. Roofing in Nevada falls under contractor licence classification C-15, Roofing and Siding, issued by the Nevada State Contractors Board. (Nevada State Contractors Board, License Classifications)

Before work starts, check them yourself. The Nevada State Contractors Board publishes a free public licence search, so you can confirm a contractor is licensed, check the classification they hold and see their licence status before any work starts. Frequently asked questions

Is someone really answering at 3am?

The phone line is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so a person picks up. How quickly an independent roofer can physically reach you depends on who in the network is available and where you are in the valley, and we will be straight with you about that on the call.

Should I tarp the roof myself first?

No. Please do not get on the roof. Falls from roofs cause serious injuries every year, and a heat-softened or wet roof surface is far less stable than it looks. Protect what is inside, keep clear of any sagging ceiling, and let someone with fall protection handle the roof itself.

Will the emergency visit fix the roof permanently?

Often not, and that is normal. Emergency work is usually about stopping water getting in tonight, with the permanent repair scheduled afterwards in daylight when the full extent is visible. Ask the contractor to be explicit about which one they are quoting.

Does it cost me anything to be connected?

No. Being matched with a roofing contractor is free, at any hour. You pay the contractor directly for the work they perform, at the price they quote you.
